The Handelsblatt newspaper based in Düsseldorf, Germany reported that ThyssenKrupp, a steel company that also manufactures submarines, with partners from Turkey, is in negotiations for partnering to take part in an Indonesian submarine project.

The UK's newest submarine has been launched in late April and built to with stealth capabilities. HMS Audacious, in theory it can survive under water for 25 years without needing to surface, as reported by The West Morland Gazette.

Mengingat peran penting LPD, setelah mengoperasikan enam unit LPD, belum lama ini TNI AL kembali memesan LPD 124 meter kepada PT PAL berdasarkan kontrak 11 Januari 2017. Selain Indonesia, Singapura dan Filipina, ternyata Australia juga mengoperasikan LPD, meski hanya satu unit, LPD Royal Australian Navy menjadi yang terbesar di kawasan.
